The CanaDream fleet is well maintained and offers a quality product at affordable prices. All vehicles can be rented on a one way basis for maximum flexibility and best use of your holiday time. Staff at most locations are multi-lingual and are able to assist with your itinerary plans as well as give advice on campgrounds and local area attractions.
Canadream Rental Terms
Payment
A non-refundable deposit will be taken from your nominated credit card at time of booking confirmation. This percentage of the total fees will vary depending on the number of days your booking is placed before travel commencement. The balance payment due will be deducted from your nominated credit card 35 days prior to the commencement of your rental. Please ensure there are sufficient funds available on your credit card. Initial Deposit and remaining payment can be made by Master Card, Visa only. If you are booking within 35 days of travel the entire cost of the rental will be transacted from your nominated credit card at time of booking confirmation.
Note on foreign currency bookings: full balance of payment (including the deposit) will be collected at the time of confirmation if you have elected to process your booking in a currency different to CAD$.
There may be other fees paid locally upon arrival (e.g. GST or Provincial Taxes, physical extras like chairs, tables). These can be paid by Master Card, Visa, American Express, JCB or Diner's Club credit cards. All renters must present a valid credit card at the time of pick up.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.

CanaDream guarantees that its fleet is of the highest standard in Canada with features that are exclusive to CanaDream.
Cancellation Policy
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:
* Booked and cancelled within 5 days when departure date is greater than 35 days from booking date: No further charge
* Over 33 days prior to departure, and 6 or more days after original confirmation, an additional $75
* 33 - 18 days prior to departure an additional $250
* 17 - 11 days prior to departure an additional $500
* 10 days - departure day or no shows: 100% of the total rental charges
Please note: the above cancellation policy costs are excluding taxes and will be added to each fee accordingly.
Minimum Rental
7 nights between April 1 to October 31, 5 nights for the remainder of the year. Shorter rental periods may be available on request.
Security Deposit
- Rentals require a security deposit of $750 ($1,500 for drivers 21 to 24 years).
- An open, signed credit card authorization is taken at departure for all rentals
- Security deposits must be made with credit cards only (no debit cards) and will be processed
- Deposits are refunded when the vehicle is returned complete with all equipment in a clean and undamaged condition
Group Bookings
CanaDream welcomes group bookings for all its unit types with the following changes to our regular terms and conditions for groups of 5 or more vehicles. A further deposit of $500 per unit is required upon confirmation of the booking. Full payment is required 90 days prior to departure.
Group Cancellation Policy
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:
* Over 183 days prior to departure $500 per vehicle booked
* 182- 63 days prior to departure 50% of the charges
* Under 63 days - full payment of rental charges is required in the event of a cancellation.
Transfers
Transfers to and from airport or airport hotels is complimentary for all stations except Montreal. A $90 one-way/return charge for transfers is applicable between Canadream's Montreal location and Montreal Airport/airport hotels.
Hours of Operation
- May 1 - September 30, 08:00 - 18:00, Monday through Saturday*
- October 1 - April 30, 08:00 - 17:00, Monday through Saturday*
- Check-in or pick-up is from 13:00 - 16:00 (please call on the morning of your pickup, to schedule a pickup time)
- Check-out or drop-off is from 08:00 - 10:00
- Late charges for drop-offs after 10:00 will be $75.00 per hour
* Sunday pick-up/drop-offs are available at a cost of $375 per pick-up and/or drop-off.
Early Returns/Unused Kilometer
Sorry, there are no refunds for early returns or unused kilometers.
Repairs/Maintenance Responsibility
CanaDream's fleet of vehicles is in top mechanical condition. In the unlikely event that a mechanical failure occurs, guests are authorized to proceed with the necessary repairs up to $100. For expenses over $100, guests must telephone the rental station for authorization before proceeding with repairs. Replacement parts must be returned to the rental station for reimbursement. Guests assume full responsibility for damage to tires and undercarriage. Oil, tire pressure and coolant must be checked at each refueling. Costs for oil will be refunded upon presentation of receipts. The company's responsibility is limited to the refund of the daily gross rate, or portion thereof, if the breakdown repair is longer than 48 hours.
Smoking Policy
CanaDream's vehicles are smoke-free. If you choose to smoke, additional cleaning charges may apply.
Pets
Sorry, pets are not allowed.
Driving License/Driver's Age
- All drivers must possess a driver's license valid for the entire rental period
- An international driver's license is recommended for foreign tourists
- Minimum age is 21. Only drivers listed on contract are allowed to drive
- Additional Driver Fee: $5 per night for each additional driver
- Driving in U.S: $10 per night for each vehicle entering the US. In the event CanaDream RV Rentals is not made aware of travel in the US and an incident occurs the insurance coverage will be void and the client will be fully responsible for all costs.
Travel Restricted Areas
Vehicles are not permitted to enter Mexico at any time. Travel to Death Valley is limited to the low season (October 1 through April 30) due to extremely high temperatures which can cause system failures. Also, a $10/night fee applies to any travel within the United States (including Alaska). Guests assume all responsibility for any expense or loss of time while traveling in restricted areas.
Northern Surcharge
There is a surcharge of $500 for rentals starting from Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal or Halifax with permission to travel on/in:
- Alaska Highway north of Fort St. John, British Columbia
- Cassiar Highway (#37) north of Kitwanga, British Columbia
- Highway 35 north of Peace River, Alberta
- Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut, Newfoundland
- Quebec & Labrador north and east of Sept-Iles
Permission is automatically granted to travel in above areas with pick ups in Whitehorse with the exception of the 'No-Go' areas of the Dalton Highway (north of Fairbanks) and the Denali Highway in Alaska and the North Canol Highway in the Yukon. Vehicles for northern travel must be expressly requested and confirmed at the time of reservation. Guests who travel to these areas without permission will be subject to a $900 penalty and will void all insurance coverage. CanaDream reserves the right to restrict driving access at anytime. These restrictions may be applied at the time of pick-up.
Convenience Kit Fees
Convenience kits are charged at $80 per person per booking. The convenience kit includes dishes, cookware, pillows, linen, towels, sleeping bags and cleaning equipment.
One-way Rental Fees
Based on availability, CanaDream offers one-way rentals to and from its locations in Vancouver, Whitehorse, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax. One-way rentals must be reserved and confirmed in advance and the following drop off fees apply:
- One-ways between all CanaDream locations - $750
- Special or unique one-ways across North America are available on request
Commercial Renters
CanaDream vehicles may be rented for commercial purposes if special prior approval is obtained.
Responsibility
If, for any reason beyond the company's control, the reserved vehicle is not available, CanaDream reserves the right to substitute a vehicle of equivalent value or offer a higher rated vehicle at no additional cost. Should a lower rated vehicle be substituted, the company's only responsibility is to refund the difference between the two vehicles. Although this is infrequent, accidents or mechanical repairs may force substitutions.
Fuel
CanaDream makes no representation as to fuel consumption. Vehicles are supplied with a minimum ¼ tank. If the guest returns with less fuel than on departure, he/she will be charged for that amount of fuel. There is no refund if client returns with more fuel than on departure.
Taxes
Sales Taxes apply to all charges as follows:
- Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Montreal, GST (Good & Services Tax) - 5%
- Vancouver HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) - 12%
- Toronto HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) - 13%
- Montreal QST (Quebec Service Tax) - 9.5%
- Halifax HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) - 15%
There is no provincial tax in Calgary, Edmonton or Whitehorse.
Tax is calculated on the gross amount of the rental.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.
A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.
Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.

Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.

Insurance Coverage
Travel with full peace of mind. All CanaDream Inc. rental vehicles carry $5 million public liability and property damage insurance. The vehicles have a minimum $750 deductible for collision and comprehensive ($1500 for drivers 21-24 years). This amount is a required deposit refundable upon the return of the vehicle in the same condition as it was received and not involved in any accident claims. Any guest that is involved in an accident will have their deposit held until the accident claim is closed. Claims that are less than the deposit amount will have the difference refunded to the guest upon closing of the accident claim. CanaDream's insurance does not cover liability for loss of personal property, nor does it cover costs for accommodation, transportation or replacement of the vehicle if it is stolen or in an accident that makes the vehicle inoperable. Accidents must be reported immediately and be accompanied by a written accident report and police report or file number or the guest assumes full responsibility for ALL damages.
Guests will be covered in the event of a mechanical breakdown that requires more than 48 hours for repairs of the vehicle to be completed. The radio, air conditioning, slide-out, refrigerator, microwave, appliances and cruise control are not considered to be mechanical breakdowns. The company's responsibility is limited to the refund of the daily gross rate or portion thereof if the breakdown repair is longer than 48 hours. This plan is not valid in the case of an accident, or stolen vehicle.
The Guest is responsible for the following maximum charges per accident.
- Two-vehicle accident on a signed and numbered road, fire, theft or vandalism (with police and accident report): $750 ($1,500 for drivers 21-24 yrs old )
- Windshield / glass: $500.
- Off Road, including campsites, parking lots, driveways etc.: $1,500 for all drivers.
- Damage while backing up: $1,500 for all drivers.
- Roof damage (not caused by two vehicle accident on a numbered road): $1,500 for all drivers.
- Interior damage (not caused by two-vehicle accident on a numbered road): $750 ($1,250 for drivers 21-24 yrs old).
- Collision with animals: $750 ($1,250 for drivers 21-24 yrs old).
- Undercarriage damage and /or tires (not caused by two vehicle accident on a numbered road): All costs.
- No written accident report & police file number (or station notification within 24 hours of accident): All costs
- Hit and Run (where you cause damage to third party property in your vehicle and do not report it, or where a third party hits and damages your vehicle and you are unable to obtain third party contact information): All costs
- Damages and accidents while driving in unauthorized areas: All costs.
- Damages and accidents caused while the vehicle is driven by a driver under the influence of drugs/alcohol: All costs.
- Damages and accidents caused while the vehicle is driven by a driver not authorized on the rental contract: All costs.
- Damages and accidents caused while the vehicle is driven in the USA without prior authorization: All costs.
- Damages incurred during an illegal act(s) and / or wilful damage: All costs.
Please note the following conditions:
There is no insurance coverage and guest will be responsible for all damages if the vehicle is driven to an unauthorized area without approval. These areas include: all non-numbered, logging and non public roads; travel to Mexico; the Alaska Highway north of Fort St. John; the 'No-Go' areas of the Denali and Dalton Highways in Alaska and the North Canol Highway in the Yukon; Cassiar Highway (#37) north of Kitwanga, British Columbia; Highway #35 north of Peace River, Alberta; Quebec roads and Labrador roads north and east of Sept-Iles; Baie James Road, Quebec; and all roads in the Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut, Newfoundland and Labrador. CanaDream reserves the right to restrict driving access at anytime. These restrictions may be applied at the time of pick-up. There is a $900 penalty for unauthorized driving in these areas.
Parking of your vehicle is prohibited in the greater metropolitan area of Montreal and Ottawa; this includes all pay parking lots, hotel parking lots, side streets, malls, etc. In these areas, park your vehicle at a campsite and use public transportation, taxi, etc. In the event of a theft that occurred in the Montreal or Ottawa area, the Guest is responsible for $7,500. |
